The JW Memorial Foundation honors the brave men and women who risk their lives serving as fire fighters, law enforcement officers and emergency medical responders in the State of Idaho.

According to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, 40 wildland and structural firefighters lost their lives in the line of duty between 1981 and 2021.
According to the Idaho Peace Officers Memorial Site, 71 law enforcement officers lost their lives in the line of duty between 1883 and 2020.
Statistics are unfortunately not available for the number of emergency medical responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
